More than a facility or center, Good Shepherd Hospice is a concept of care that addresses the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice care comes to where the patient needs it –private homes, nursing centers, assisted living facilities, even hospice units within hospitals.
Our medical personnel, counselors, clergy and trained volunteers with specialized knowledge in end-of-life care, including pain management and grief counseling, work together to provide medical support and so much more.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, our philosophy, “Live the Journey,” means that we approach the end of life as a sacred and precious part of living. Our presence is to be a quiet comfort that focuses on the patient and family’s wishes and feelings.
Hospice Care Foundation
As part of our mission, we feel it’s important to encourage others to reach out to hospice patients and their families in special ways. A donation to the Hospice Care Foundation will help honor the requests and wishes of individuals searching for meaning in their final days.
With enthusiasm and creativity, you and other Good Shepherd Hospice volunteers can make special moments happen for our patients and our families, again and again. It’s an incredible gift to give someone.
